Prestigious Award Received By Dr. Nancy Polow

On May 1, 2014, Dr. Nancy Polow, a Chatham resident, received the 2014 Distinguished Professional Service Award from The New Jersey Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NJSHA). She was presented this esteemed award at the annual state convention in Long Branch. This award recognizes Dr. Polow’s exemplary work and commitment to her profession.
Dr. Nancy Polow has received national and statewide recognition as a practicing speech-language pathologist for over 35 years. Dr. Polow established and continues to direct Suburban Speech Center, a private pediatric practice in Short Hills. Dr. Polow and her staff provide a wide range of speech-language therapy services. Suburban Speech Center has received the “Program of the Year Award” for its outstanding outreach preschool program.
Dr. Polow was previously recognized by her NJSHA colleagues when they awarded her “The Outstanding Clinical Achievement Award” and the “Honors of the Association” award. She was featured on CBS “This Morning” as well as the National Geographic Network (The Science Times). Dr. Polow has served as an adjunct professor at three colleges and universities including Miami Dade College in Florida, Seton Hall University and William Paterson University in New Jersey.
Most recently, Dr. Polow turned a vision into reality when she invited top pediatric practitioners to open offices at her Short Hills location, making 748 Morris Turnpike an “Under One Roof” center for children. Since its opening in 2012, the “Under One Roof” team has been highly successful in their comprehensive approach to treating children and families.
Dr. Polow continues to demonstrate excellence in the areas of academic, research, therapeutic and administrative services.
