Alexa Centrella

Alexa received her Bachelor’s degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Rhode Island and her Master’s degree in speech-language pathology from Seton Hall University.
Alexa’s experience includes assessing and treating children with communication disorders in both inpatient and outpatient medical settings.
Alexa’s comprehensive experience includes evaluating and treating children with childhood apraxia of speech, receptive-expressive language deficits, and articulation disorders. Alexa is trained in Verbal Behavior Analysis (VBA), Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol (K-SLP), and More Than Words (“Hanen approach”).
Alexa specializes in treating the child on the Autism spectrum. She is trained in DIR Floortime. She incorporates the DIR Floortime principles to achieve communication successes with special needs children.
Alexa joined Suburban Speech Center in 2014.
