Renee received her bachelor’s degree in speech-language pathology from Kean University, her Master’s degree in speech-language pathology from Seton Hall University, and her Doctorate in speech-language pathology from Kean University.
Renee’s comprehensive experience includes evaluating and treating children with a wide range of communication disorders. Renee has experience working in private educational settings the NJ Early Intervention System (NJEIS) providing diagnostic and therapeutic services to individuals aged birth-21 with a variety of diagnoses including expressive-receptive language disorder, apraxia, autism, and developmental delays. She currently works in the Bridgewater school system implementing speech-language therapy in the academic setting and through community-based instruction. As an integral member of the Child Study Team, Renee provides case management services, conducts evaluations, and develops IEP goals and objectives. Renee is also the augmentative communication coordinator for the Bridgewater school system.
Renee Specializes in assistive technology and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) assessment, device trials, communication goal writing, implementation training, and parent coaching. Renee has extensive experience as an AAC specialist using various low technology systems such as the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and Pragmatic Organization Dynamic Display (PODD) as well as high technology systems including Tobii Dynavox, PRC-Saltillo, and Smartbox devices, and communication applications such as Proloquo2Go, LAMP, TD Snap, Snap PODD, Grid 3, and TouchChat. Renee is passionate about providing individuals with the most appropriate personalized AAC to improve their communication with their family and peers.
Renee is certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed by the State of New Jersey and certified by the New Jersey Department of Education as a Speech-Language Specialist. Renee has attended training workshops on Pragmatic Organization Dynamic Display (PODD) and alternative access, Tobii Dynavox and Boardmaker 7, LAMP by the Center for AAC and Autism, and TouchChat by PRC-Saltillo.
Renee joined Suburban Speech Center in 2024.
